The Bay Meadows development consists of five office and mixed-use buildings, which have been built in phases over the last ten years. The development is alongside Caltrain Station and Highway 101 near the bay. The Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) delivers LEED Gold-certified office buildings in a vibrant urban village setting.
To meet the parking requirements of the development, the lowest parking level had to be constructed 18 feet below the water table with high hydrostatic pressure.
Hycrete360 provided the highest level of performance over the standard waterproofing systems. Using Hycrete360, the owner could accelerate the construction schedule, add credit to the LEED Gold certification, and reduce waterproofing costs by eliminating the need for a membrane system.
The Bay Meadows Team was able to shave weeks off the construction schedule, saving them time and money. Hycrete360 provided a non-absorbent concrete surface with reduced maintenance over the duration of the building life span, all with a 10-year performance-based warranty. Additional phases starting in 2024.
