Hycrete would like to congratulate the team for winning the 2023 Innovative Project Award from The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association for the Seattle Aquarium’s new Ocean Pavilion. The Seattle Aquarium was among 11 other projects across the country that won awards at the NRMCA Concrete Innovations Award Program, which took place earlier this month in Las Vegas.
Hycrete is honored to work with such an innovative and collaborative team bringing the vision of the Seattle Aquarium and LMN Architects design into fruition. Other team members include Turner Construction, Stoneway Concrete, and MKA.
Ocean Pavilion will be home to more than 120 species and includes a 360,000-gallon Hycrete treated tank as part of the coral reef ecosystem. The project will be completed summer of 2024.
