Technology Companies Honored at Awards Gala

The New Jersey Technology Council honored local technology companies at its annual awards gala at The Palace, in Somerset, last week.
Pepco Energy Services, with an office in Atlantic City, was named Master Technology Company of the Year. Pepco is an energy delivery company.
Specialty pharmaceutical company, EKR Therapeutics, in Bedminster, was named Private Company of the Year, while wireless services provider Virgin Mobile USA, in Warren, was named Public Company of the Year.
Kathleen Coviello, director of science and technology with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, received the John J. Martinson Technology Supporter Award.
DeVry University, in North Brunswick, won the Excellence in Technology Education Award.
Managed IT services provider, DataPipe, in Jersey City, was named Growth Company of the Year, and pharmaceutical forecasting and risk management firm, IntegriChain, in Princeton, was named Early Stage Company of the Year.
Industry winners included Redvision, in Parsippany, for Software and Information Technology; Petra Solar Inc., in South Plainfield, for clean and green; PTC Therapeutics Inc., in South Plainfield, for life sciences; and Hycrete Inc., in Carlstadt, for electronics and advanced materials.
